2004 The revolution began in 1995…in the depths of the dirty streets of San Jose, CA. Here, the sickest minds brought the tightest elements of hip hop, reggae and the heaviest riffs of hardcore all together to form one ill new sound: The birth of INSOLENCE. Within months, INSOLENCE (also known as the I.N.S. Crew) quickly formed a large minion of guerrilla style warrior fans throughout the San Francisco Bay area. As a result, INSOLENCE began selling out and destroying venues within their local downtown San Jose club scene. Shortly after forming, the band hit the studio and went on to create four completely ghetto-style self-produced albums: Within, Universal, Terrorist (the band’s only all hip-hop album) and Poisonous Philosophy – all of which gained a loyal army of fans and opened many doors for the band to play bigger shows and eventually hit the touring circuit. INSOLENCE began wrecking larger audiences after they were asked to open for national acts such as: Kid Rock, Incubus, System of a Down, Sevendust, Jane’s Addiction, Papa Roach, Alien Ant Farm, Adema, Machine Head, (hed) P.E., Staind and Cypress Hill…just to name a few. With an exponentially growing fighting force, the band spread to other countries as they pillaged through Europe in the summer of 1998 and 1999. Armed with a heavy arsenal of music and road experience, INSOLENCE brought their message to the people on an even higher level. With the explosion of the new millennium, INSOLENCE and EX -management team, Nova Entertainment, inked a record deal with Madonna’s label, Maverick Records. That summer, the band released their first major label album, Revolution. Shortly thereafter, the band began ripping the states in support of the album, touring with Hoobastank, Ill Nino, Soulfly, Corporate Avenger, Kottonmouth Kings, and Insane Clown Posse. The revolution was heard. The single “Poison Well,” was pimped regularly on MTV’s The Real World, Road Rules and TRL. Tracks from their disc were also featured on the Soundtrack to Adam Sandler’s “Little Nikki” and the trailer for Robert Redford’s “Last Castle.” Live performances were bumped on USA Network’s, Farmclub, alongside Nelly, Destiny’s Child and Static- X. Soon after, INSOLENCE was flown out to Toronto to film an appearance in the Sylvester Stallone movie, “Driven.” On the home front, kids were jumping to INSOLENCE tracks that were on Sean Palmer’s Pro Snowboarder for Play Station 2. With growth, change is imminent. INSOLENCE has a new line-up and have since parted ways with Maverick Records due to Marketing and Promotional differences. INSOLENCE has now solidified its line-up and is now MANAGED BY GARY AVILA(ex-p.roach) and are once again making plans to spread the musical revolution of change and growth to everyone around the globe.INSOLENCE HAS JUST FINISHED RECORDING THEIR BEST EFFORT TO DATE WITH PRODUCER T-RAY IN MALIBU CA Keep it real and spread the love… INSOLENCE forever!!
